Husky system under redesign — mechanics temporarily paused. This manual reflects the planned design.
01
What Husky Is
Husky is a discipline operating system.
It does not care about motivation. It does not track mood. It does not reward streaks or punish you for rest days. It runs on a single principle: work creates surplus, and surplus creates freedom.
Most productivity tools track what you did. Husky tracks what you earned. There is a difference. Doing things is easy to confuse with making progress. Husky converts your effort into a number — a token — and that token becomes real time you can spend however you want.
Husky is not a habit app. It is a resource accounting system for your time.
02
The Philosophy
The underlying idea is simple.
Time is not infinite. You cannot make more of it. But you can compress it. If you work harder than required for a period, you bank the difference. That difference is yours to spend — as rest, as freedom, as leave, or as a compressed day where two days of output fit into one.

Time is a resource
Finite, trackable, spendable
⊕
Work creates surplus
Effort above baseline accumulates
◎
Surplus creates freedom
Tokens convert to days and credits
This is not about working more. It is about working with intention so that the outcome is stored — not just experienced and forgotten.
03
The Cycle
Husky runs in 7-week cycles. Each cycle contains 49 days.

Overburn
You worked every available slot. This is flagged — not rewarded.
⊕⊕
11+ days
Strong surplus
Two surplus tokens added to your reservoir.
⊕
9 days
Surplus
One surplus token added.
=
7 days
Baseline
Met the plan exactly. Stable rhythm.
⊖
4–5 days
Deficit
One surplus token consumed from reservoir.
⊘
0 days
Missed week
Two surplus tokens consumed.
05
The Reservoir
The reservoir is where your discipline is stored. Every surplus week deposits a token. Every deficit week withdraws one. Missed weeks withdraw two.
The reservoir has a cap of 42 surplus tokens per 6-month period. Tokens above the cap must be spent.
06
Conversion
7 ⊕ → 14 days
Leave Credit
Seven surplus tokens convert into fourteen calendar days of leave.
15 ⊕ → X
Compression Credit
Fifteen surplus tokens convert into a compression credit.
07
Using the Software
→
Track daily work in the grid
Open Stats and find the Work Density section. Click any cell to cycle through rest, work, and intense session.
→
Watch the timeline
The Weekly Outcome Timeline shows each week's result symbol.
→
Monitor the reservoir
The Reservoir Bank shows your current balance.
→
Save and Open projects
SAVE exports a full JSON backup of all projects. OPEN imports it back — all config, difficulty levels, durations, and timers are restored exactly.
The system does not judge how you use your freedom. It only tracks that you earned it.
